The UK Civil Aviation Authority and the UK Government are doing everything they can to assist affected passengers to return home. For passengers due to fly from this airport, arrangements have been put in place for you to book new flights with other airlines at no cost to you.

Your flight home

Special arrangements have been put in place for you to complete your holiday and book new flights with either British Airways or Virgin Atlantic at no cost to you. Please contact either of them directly on the details below to arrange your alternative flight back to the UK.

Please note you will need to retain your original Thomas Cook ticket.

British Airways  0800 727 8000 from the UK or  (+44) 203 250 0145 from overseas.

Virgin Atlantic – Toll free in the USA (+1) 888 747 7477, or (+44) 344 742 4384 from other locations.

The repatriation programme is solely focused on ensuring Thomas Cook customers return to the UK as efficiently as possible. British Airways or Virgin Atlantic will organise your repatriation flight as close as possible to the original time that you were booked to return to the UK at no cost to you. This means that customers will be booked on the most appropriate flight that is closest to your original departure date.

We understand that you may have arranged or paid for extras or upgrades as part of your original booking with Thomas Cook such as a premium seat or particular meal. Unfortunately, as the repatriation programme is focused on getting you back to the UK as efficiently as possible, we cannot commit to honouring these and you will not be able to claim a refund on this cost.

Passengers with a disability or who require special assistance should make the airline aware of your requirements at the time of booking. This information will not be automatically transferred to your new booking.

If you have difficulty booking a new flight, please contact our call centre on +44 1753 330 330.
